Hyderabad, Jan 27 (Agency) United Forum of Bank Unions’ (UFBU) have decided to defer their two-day nation-wide strike from January 30 after another round of conciliation meeting held in Mumbai on Friday. All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) General Secretary CH Venkatachalam told UNI that the demands of UFBU were discussed in the meeting. He said due to developments therein, it has been decided to defer the strike call.
A conciliation meeting was held by Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner ( Central), Mumbai Tej Bahadur on Tuesday. In the meeting, Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) said it will hold discussions with UFBU within 15 days on their demands. The demands of UFBU are five-day banking, updation of pension, residual issues, scrap NPS, immediate starting of negotiation on charter of demands for wage revision and adequate recruitment in all cadres.
