Tejaswi urges Nitish to intervene to solve the BPSC aspirants’ problems

Patna, Dec 23 (Representative) Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav requested Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to immediately intervene and solve the problems of the BPSC aspirants demonstrating in favour of their demands of re-examination of 70th BPSC preliminary test.Through his letter, Yadav requested the Chief Minister on Sunday to immediately intervene in the situation that erupted following the rigidity and insensitivity of the BPSC towards the demands of the BPSC aspirants who were left with no option other than to demonstrate day night under the open sky in the winters for the past several days. He said that the health conditions of several of the demonstrating aspirants were deteriorating and their condition was a matter of grave concern especially due to the adverse weather conditions.Under the prevailing circumstances, Yadav urged the Chief Minister to make efforts to end the protest by taking initiative towards an amicable solution to their problems, otherwise, the government will be held accountable for any eventuality.Justifying the demands of the aspirants, Yadav demanded a re-examination of BPSC PT under one shift, on the same day and the paper should be uniform with a uniform pattern without any leak.

Yadav hoped, the CM would sympathetically consider the demands which were genuine and solve the problems of the aspirants in the interest of the lakhs of hard working talented students of Bihar.Referring to his earlier requests made to the Chief Minister apprising him of the problems of the 70th BPSC PT, Yadav alleged that due to stubbornness of the Commission and the rampant corruption, incidents of malpractice took place in this examination too, which is indicative of the deep-rooted corruption in the system. He said that cancellation of the 70th BPSC PTof Bapu Examination Centre, Patna conducted on December 13 by the commission is merely an attempt to hide the widespread institutional corruption in government appointment processes. It is an important responsibility of the government and BPSC to provide a level playing field for all the candidates in conducting the examination, he said adding that it would be impossible to objectively evaluate the merit of the candidates if the competitive examinations were conducted with different question papers on different dates. He also questioned the outsourcing of the competition of the State PCS to a private agency at the Bapu examination centre.Already 90,000 aspirants remained deprived of filling up their forms due to anomalies in the BPSC server, he alleged saying that it cannot be a coincidence that more than 25 percent questions of the model question papers of some of the private coaching institutes matched with the question paper of the 70th BPSC PT.Demanding an impartial judicial probe into the malpractices Yadav asked to take stern action against the culprits.
