Tamilian should become PM in future : Amit Shah

Chennai, June 11 (Representative) Union Home Minister Amit Shah today pitched for a Tamilian from Tamil Nadu should become the Prime Minister in future. He made this remark while holding discussions with the BJP cadres at a close door meeting of the core committee of the BJP South Chennai parliamentary constituency, said in future a Tamilian from Tamil Nadu should become the Prime Minister in future. Such an opportunity was twice lost in the past, he reportedly spoke during the meeting, and blamed the DMK for it. He was apparently referring to the efforts in the past made to make K.Kamaraj and G.K.Moopanar as the Prime Minister.

“Let us resolve to make a Tamilian as Prime Minister in the future”, he told the BJP functionaries and urged the cadres to work hard for the BJP to come to power in the State. He also said a person from the poor family background from Tamil Nadu should become the Prime Minister in future and that it could be made possible only by the BJP, while stressing that the BJP-led NDA should win at least 25 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and that he has immense confidence on BJP State Chief K.Annamalai, who will make it a reality. While stating that the poll preparatory works should go on unhindered, he also called for strengthening the booth committees.
