SKM to observe one year of farmers’ struggle on Nov 26

New Delhi, Nov 9 (Agency) The Samyukta Kisan Morcha held a meeting at the Singhu Border on Tuesday and decided to observe one year of the farmers’ struggle on November 26 all over the country, SKM statement said. On November 26, there will be huge mobilizations of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan at all the Delhi borders. The meetings will be held on borders, said SKM.

SKM has called for massive mahapanchayats in state capitals on this day as part of the first anniversary of the struggle on Delhi borders. SKM decided that from November 29 until the end of the Parliament session, 500 selected farmer volunteers will move every day to Parliament in tractor trolley peacefully and with full discipline, to assert their rights to protest in the national capital in order to increase the pressure manifold on this obstinate, insensitive, anti-people and pro-corporate Central government, to force it to concede the demands for which farmers across the country have launched a historic struggle for one year, SKM statement said. On November 28, a Kisan-Mazdoor Mahapanchayat will be held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. The event will be jointly hosted by over 100 organizations under the banner of Samyukta Shetkari Kamgar Morcha (SSKM) to mark the completion of one year of the farmers’ struggle, said SKM leader.
