RSS’ anti-quota plan enforced in MP: Cong

Bhopal, May 10 (FN Agency) Reacting to the Supreme Court’s Tuesday verdict quashing OBC reservation in Madhya Pradesh’s panchayat polls, Congress leader and erstwhile Union minister Arun Yadav – a major countenance of the category – alleged that the state dispensation’s gross negligence resulted in implementation of RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s agenda vis-à-vis terminating quotas. “This was verily our apprehension. Owing to the Shivraj (Singh Chouhan)-led BJP government’s conspiracy, 56 per cent of the state’s population will stand deprived of its judicious rights.

Chief Minister Chouhan, you yourself are from a Backward Class, this deal will prove deadly for you in future,” he wrote in social media. Mr Yadav was a member of the 14th and 15th Lok Sabhas. He was Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises prior to assuming the mantle of MoS (Agriculture and Food Processing Industries). On May 3, 2013, he was appointed as Member, Committee on Welfare of OBCs. Mr Yadav’s father Subhash Yadav – who served as Madhya Pradesh deputy chief minister in the Digvijaya Singh dispensation – was the face of the OBCs in this state.
