Panaji, Nov 12 (FN Representative) Union Minister Shripad Naik on Friday said that religion and caste should be kept outside politics. Reacting to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manisho Sisodia’s statement that a leader from Bhandari Samaj would be the party’s chief minister face in the upcoming assembly elections in the state, he said, ‘They have expressed the decision of their party.
Every party will take a decision. This sort of things happen during election time.’ ‘Who will be chief minister is decided by the party. First they should have an MLA. Right now they don’t have one. However, religion and caste issues should be kept out of politics,’ Mr Naik said. Mr Sisodia had on Thursday announced that AAP’s Chief Minister would be from Bhandri Samaj while the Deputy Chief Minister would be from the Catholic Community.
