Rahul urges PM to look into problems of Kashmiri Pandits

New Delhi, Feb 4 (FN Representative) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighting the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir, and urged him to look into their matter. In his two page letter addressed to the PM on Thursday, a copy of which was shared on twitter on Friday by the Wayanad MP, mentioned that a delegation of a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met him during his recent visit to the Union Territory, and told him that the authorities are asking them to go back to the Kashmir valley without providing security, putting their lives at risk. “A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met me during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ to apprise me about their problems.

They told me that the authorities are asking them to go back to the Kashmir valley,” the former Congress president wrote in his letter, citing the targeted killings of the Kashmiri Pandits by the terrorists in the valley. The letter further read,”It is a ‘cruel’ step to force Kashmiri Pandits, who are victims of targeted killing by terrorists, to go to the valley without any security guarantee. I hope you will take appropriate steps in this matter.” The MP further wrote that during his meeting the delegation of the Kashmiri Pandits, he had assured that he will urge the PM to resolve the problems being faced by them.
