New Delhi, April 6 (FN Agency) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched an attack against ‘dynastic parties’, and stressed that the core ideology of the BJP is that of social justice, as he addressed party workers on the 42nd foundation day of the party. Stating that the ‘dynastic parties’ are hurting democracy, the Prime Minister called upon the BJP workers to defeat those forces. The PM said the 42nd foundation day of the party gained significance as it came as India is celebrating 75 years of Independence, and new possibilities are emerging for India with the changing global order. “At a time when the world is divided in two opposing poles, India is being seen as a country which is firmly talking about humanity,” the PM said. He highlighted that BJP returned to power in four states in recent elections, and after 30 years, it is the only party to reach the 100-MP milestone in Rajya Sabha. “Whether from a global perspective or national perspective, the responsibility on BJP and every party worker is increasing. Every worker of BJP represents the dreams and aspirations of India,” Modi said.
Launching a scathing attack over ‘dynastic politics’ the Prime Minister said there were many parties in different states that kept a family above everything else, and alleged that there was a collusion between them to hide each other’s corruption. “Today there are two types of politics in the country – one is politics of worshiping a family, and the other is that of worshiping the nation. There are some political parties in different states which work only for their family’s benefit. Even if they are in different states, they are connected through dynasticism, and they cover up each other’s corruption. The country has suffered huge losses because of such dynastic parties,” he said. “BJP is the only party which doesn’t believe in dynastic politics and even warns against its ill-effects. BJP started speaking against dynastic politics and made it an election issue. I am happy that the people of the country, the youth have realised that dynastic politics is a threat to democracy,” he said. Calling upon party workers to continue the fight against such forces, the Prime Minister also said that many BJP workers have lost their lives. “Even today our workers are fighting against their injustice and violence through democratic means.
Many workers had to sacrifice their lives. We are with their families in their grief. I want to assure all workers that BJP will keep working to re-establish democratic values in such states: Modi Stressing that social justice is the core value of the BJP, the Prime Minister said the government’s aim is to take social schemes to every deserving citizen. He also accused other parties of indulging in vote bank politics for decades. “In our country for decades, some parties did only vote bank politics. They made promises to some sections, and kept a large section of people waiting. Discrimination, corruption were side effects of vote bank politics. But BJP not only countered it, but also made people aware of its negative impacts,” Modi said. “When the govt machinery reaches every deserving person, partiality, discrimination cannot exist. Our service schemes are a big medium of social justice. Every BJP worker should reach out to every citizen with this message,” he said.
The BJP leaders and workers will reach out to people with the government’s social scheme from today till April 16 as a part of a social justice fortnight being observed by the party. He said BJP is getting support from Dalits, tribals, backward classes, women and youth. “The government today has an ideological commitment to ‘Antyodaya’. To work for the social upliftment of the poor, Dalits, backward groups, and women are the values of our party,”he said. “Along with Dalits, backward groups, tribals, farmers, and youth, women are supporting BJP in large numbers. It is the reflection of a new era. In many recent elections we have seen, our mothers and sisters have come forward to make BJP victorious. This is not just an election event, it is a national social awakening that will be mentioned in history,” he said. The Prime Minister also said that schemes to provide cooking gas, electricity and ration have garnered the support of women for the party. “It is our responsibility that women’s participation in the nation’s development increases,” he added.
