Jalgaon,Jamod, Nov 23 (Representative) Congress senior leader and party MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that ,during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra peoples of state love ,overwhelming response and the hospitality given us a new energy. On Tuesday evening Gandhi given the message to people of state from Jalgaon Jamod where the yatra taken day long break and will enter tomorrow in Burhampur district of Madhya Pradesh after crossing boundry of state. Gandhi stated that ,Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra started from Degalur with the blessings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and from Buldhana, mother district of Shivaji (birth district of Jijau Mansaheb) it is going to Madhya Pradesh.We are going to take inspiration from the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Maharashtra, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Saibaba and Gajanan Maharaj and all the saints here. The thought of these saints has given the thought of equality, social justice, brotherhood for hundreds of years, said Mr Gandhi.
This is the message of the Constitution framed by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, as well as the Bharat Jodo Yatra and we are humbly walking in his footsteps. The people of Maharashtra gave huge response and love to this Yatra Along with us, lakhs of people attended meetings in Nanded and Shegaon. Our hearts and minds are filled with the love of all these young and old, young and women, he said In Maharashtra we got to see the rich diversity of India. During this trip, we were able to visit many historic temples, Gurdwaras and also had the pleasure of walking with the Pai Warkaris of Vitthala, Buddhist monks and people from the Sufi community. We celebrated the 157th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda like other tribal brothers in the country. On the birth anniversary of Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi, we took the women’s power (Shakti March) and gave the message of women’s dignity and on this occasion we were able to interact with thousands of tribal women and address the gathering of 10 thousand women. All over Maharashtra we hear of people who work hard but do not reap the fruits of their penance,he added.
