Opposition misleading over employment: PM

Prayagraj, Feb 24 (Agency) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the BJP’s politics was inclusive and alleged that former governments in Uttar Pradesh led by the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) provided jobs only on the basis “of caste and corruption”. Addressing a rally here, he said that the governments of Samajwadi Party and BSP gave only two lakh jobs each when they ruled Uttar Pradesh. “Lives of many talented youths were destroyed. Today, they are again cheating the youths of UP in the name of employment,” Modi said. “The Yogi government in five years has given government jobs to 5 lakh youths.”

He said the syllabus of the UPSC and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission were different earlier, forcing the students to prepare separately for both exams. “Today, UP PSC and UPSC syllabus are almost similar.” “The double engine government is working for developing Uttar Pradesh,” he said, referring to the fact that the BJP is in power both at the Centre and in the state where assembly elections are ongoing. “Does UP want leaders who mislead people on vaccines?” he asked. “A strong India is not possible without a strong UP. The dynastic politicians who are seeking votes from you will never be able to form a strong, modern UP,” he said. Four phases of elections have taken place in Uttar Pradesh. The fifth phase is due on February 27.
