NCP chief criticises Maha Govt for ignoring farmers

Wardha, Aug 30 (FN Agency) Maharashtra NCP president and former minister Jayant Patil on Monday accused the ruling Eknath Shinde-BJP coalition government of ignoring the problems of farmers. Addressing a meeting of the party workers at Hinganghat of the district. he said that this government is limited to only 40 MLAs and busy taking care of them, he charged. Whereas, the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government always gave priority to farmers, he said.

During the Monsoon session of the state assembly, Patil said that it was expected that the state government would give help to farmers whose crops and property were destroyed by heavy rains and floods. He further said that even though the government was put on edge to declare a wet drought in the state during the assembly session, the government just made an announcement in the House without paying even a single paisa to these farmers, he claimed. The NCP chief also said that the youth of Hinganghat has a lot of faith in the party and is looking at NCP with great hope, he added. He appealed all factions to come together so that NCP will definitely win this seat.
