Bhubaneswar, Oct 2 (Agency) BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik on Monday slammed the opposition for their anti people and anti-development activities. Launching the BJD Padayatra across the state on Gandhi Jayanti day, Patnaik said Opposition parties are not happy with Odisha’s development journey and misleading people with wrong information. He said misleading the people with false information has become their sole job. The opposition, the BJD Chief said, always indulged in such activities whenever there was an election and people always rejected them.
The Opposition parties, Patnaik said, are trying to stall the ongoing developmental work of Sri Jaganath temple in Puri and Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar. But the people of the state will never forgive them for such action of the Opposition, he added. The BJD Padayatra which started on October 2 will continue till October 11. During this period, the BJD will also organise training camps for its leaders, blood donation camps and plantation drives to reach out to the people. The BJD workers will move every home during the padayatra and apprise the people about various developmental and welfare projects launched by the BJD government for the benefit of the people. Coinciding with the BJD’s padayatra, the Opposition Congress also launched its door-to-door campaign (Ghare Ghare Hata) from October 2 to 15 to reach the people.
