MP politics hots up over ‘security breach’

Bhopal, May 31 (Representative) A day after the Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s Leader of the Opposition Govind Singh alleged a security breach during his recent visit to Bhind district, state Home Minister and government spokesman Narottam Mishra returned fire by alleging that the former is levelling a broadside at the dispensation owing to “compulsions of his post and the company he keeps.”

Interacting with media representatives here on Tuesday, Dr Mishra said, “I am yet to receive any communication from Dr Singh in this context. He will be provided whatever type of protection he desires.” While speaking with journalists on Monday, Congress bigwig Singh even accused the BJP of demeaning opponents and turned his gun on the Indian Police Service by adding that the law and order system has collapsed since the new DGP assumed the reins. “I am not awaiting government security cover; I shall arrange my own,” he fumed.
