New Delhi, Jan 12 (Representative) Congress has appointed senior leader Mohan Prakash as the party’s senior observer for the Uttarakhand assembly elections. Giving this information on Wednesday, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that Prakash has been entrusted with the responsibility of senior observer for campaign management and coordination and other responsibilities related to campaigning for the Uttarakhand assembly elections.
He informed that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has asked Prakash to discharge the party’s election campaign related responsibilities in Uttarakhand with immediate effect and he has been relieved from other duties of the party. It is worth noting that in Uttarakhand Congress, there was panic after a statement of former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and the Congress High Command had to summon senior leaders of the state to Delhi. This responsibility has been entrusted to Prakash so that the matter does not get complicated.
