Lucknow, Jan 31 (Agency) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Monday termed the President’s speech in Parliament disappointing. In a couple of tweets in Hindi, Mayawati said: “First the Congress cheated in the name of ‘Garibi Hatao’ and now even in the BJP government, the gross neglect and plight of the children of Mother India continues, why?”
She said: “Mother India will be truly hailed only when her children will be happy and prosperous, free from poverty, unemployment, exploitation, injustice. But due to wrong policies of the government, there has been an increase in the poverty and misery in the lives of the people in the last years and the poor were getting more poor and rich are getting more richer, this is grossly unfair.”
