Nanded, Mar 6 (Bureau) Maharashtra’s Nanded Bharatiya Janata Party unit will organise lantern (Kandil) agitation on Monday to protest against the administration of civic body for their demand over functional street lights, BJP district president Pravin Sale said in a statement on Sunday. As per the statement, he said that the street lights in Nanded Municipal Corporation area have been non-functional for the last ten days and it should be operational immediately.
He further said that students, as well people travelling at night were facing problems due to the non-functional street lights. The BJP district president also pointed that theft cases were on the rise while people were found drinking on both sides of the road due to the dark streets. The agitation will take place under the guidance of MP Pratap Rao Patil, he added.
