Lucknow, June 15 (Agency) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said that the Lok Sabha polls to be held in 2024 are very important as these elections will prove to decide the future of the coming generation and the country as well. Addressing the party workers at the SP state headquarters, Akhilesh said, “SP will fulfill the expectations of the people by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh. SP has a vision of the future and a model of development. The standards of development that were set in the SP government is the socialist model through which a public welfare state is built. “He called upon the workers to start preparing from now itself to strengthen the booth with solidarity, loyalty and honesty. Cautioning the party workers, the SP chief said that this time there should be no mistake in the Lok Sabha elections.
“The public wanted to form the SP government in the 2022 assembly elections, it voted fiercely for the party candidates for that, but the BJP influenced the result by misusing power, lies, deceit and force,” he said. He said that factionalism will not work in the party. “SP workers should not make mistakes this time. Democracy has to be saved at the booth level. The Lok Sabha elections have to be fought very seriously and won,” he said.Akhilesh said that only the development schemes of the SP government are visible today and people are getting benefits from them. “BJP has only created problems. Inflation, unemployment are at its peak. Every class is worried. Farmers, youth, laborers all are struggling for survival. The BJP government has not run any scheme of public interest in the last six years,” he said.He said that development work has come to a standstill in the state. “Medical and health services have collapsed. Patients are not even getting proper treatment in hospitals. Murders are happening openly. There is chaos all around. Injustice is being done to the poor. No one is getting justice,” he said. The SP chief said that SP will root out BJP from power in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections to save the Constitution and democracy. “SP workers are united and determined to remove BJP from power,” he said.
