Jaipur, Dec 5 (FN Agency) Union Home Minister Amit Shah here today accused the Gehlot government of not fulfilling the promises made in the elections and not reducing the tax on petrol and diesel and called upon the workers to start agitation against government to reduce the price on diesel and petrol. In the public representatives’ conference organized by BJP here today, Mr. Shah said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is dear to his vault. Petrol prices have been reduced in the central and BJP-ruled governments, but the Congress government in Rajasthan did not do so. While suggesting reduction in the rates of petrol and diesel to Mr. Gehlot, he said that if this is not done, then the public is standing watching the way. He said the Congress government had promised to give unemployment allowance and waiving farmers’ loans in the elections, but both these promises were not fulfilled. This party has come to the government by making false promises.
He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said in Jaipur that the loans of farmers would be waived in ten days but did not, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi waived the loans of 11 crore farmers. Referring to the law and order situation in the state, Mr Shah said this government is working on the policy of ‘Take and Order’. Due to which 40 percent increase in robbery cases, 25 percent in kidnapping, 21 in rape, 42 percent increase in Dalit atrocities. He alleged that the Gehlot government was not providing any facilities to the poor and had closed or twisted the welfare schemes of the Vasundhara government. He said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot says that BJP wants to topple our government but fact is that people of his government are unhappy .Mr Shah said that I want to say that no one is toppling the Congress government. BJP will never do such a thing and will get a thumping majority in the elections.
Referring to the Ram temple, Mr Shah said that this demand continued since the nineties, but when the Modi government with full majority was again formed at the center, the work of construction of Ram temple was started and in the next two years the dream of a grand Ram temple will fulfilled. MrShah said that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had given the slogan of Garibi Hatao, but instead of removing poverty, she worked to remove the poor. When Mr Modi came to power in 2014, it was seen that crores of houses did not have electricity, gas connections, health facilities and toilet facilities. Mr. Shah claimed that within seven years after Mr. Modi took over, electricity in every house, toilets in more than 11 crore houses, gas cylinders in 13 crore houses were made free from smoke. He said that Modi government has given health insurance benefits to 60 crore poor . Referring to the unemployed people during the Corona period, Mr Shah said Modi government provided relief to 80 crore poor by giving five kilograms of food grains for two years. Apart from this, 130 crore people got free vaccination.
