Chennai, Mar 18 (Representative) Calling for Unity among the Opposition INDIA Bloc to oust the BJP government from power at the Centre in the Lok Sabha polls, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K.Stalin on Sunday evening said that the Electoral Bond scam has proved that the BJP is corrupt and Prime Minister Narendra Modi can’t talk about corruption. Addressing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra event at Mumbai for which he flew down from Chennai today, Mr Stalin said the election dates were announced and the only goal of INDIA is to defeat the BJP by dedicating ourselves to save the country. Mr Stalin sought to know who collected Rs 8,000 crore in the name of Electoral bonds and termed it as a white-collar corruption of BJP. Can such Prime Minister talk about Corruption?, he asked. “INDIA alliance will form the Government (after the Lok Sabha polls)”, he exuded confidence. There is no bigger threat than BJP to India and the real victory of Mr Ral Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra lies in defeating the BJP and form a truly federal, secular and inclusive government at the Centre, he declared. Stating that he had come to Mumbai to convey his wishes to his dear brother Rahul Gandhi, Mr Stalin said he stood here (in Mumbai) with the immense pride of starting off the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanniyakumari.
“Your journey has reached Mumbai today. This will reach Delhi soon”, he added. Asserting that INDIA alliance will form the Government, the DMK Chief said wherever Rahul goes it looks like a huge festival. “Such is the welcome and love given by people to him”. “Mr Rahul Gandhi faced many problems from BJP Government during this journey. They cited so many silly reasons to deny him permission. Despite all, Rahul continued his walk boldly. The mass gatherings for Rahul, made BJP go sleepless. They removed him as MP. But he fought and won in the Supreme Court. He roared again in Parliament!”, Mr Stalin pointed out. He said this is not the journey of one man called Rahul Gandhi, Nor of Congress Party. This is for INDIA. That’s why this is Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra!, he said, adding, “What India needs now is UNITY! The BJP that divides people will be thrown out soon.” “PM Modi did only two things in last 10 years. One is foreign trips. Another is fake propaganda….We must stop this now.
This is our agenda! From the day, we formed INDIA alliance, BJP stopped using the very term INDIA. Such is their fear. That is why, PM Modi stoops down to defame our alliance. He calls INDIA alliance corrupt!”, he said. “But, the Electoral Bond Scam proved BJP is corrupt. Who collected 8,000 crore rupees in the name of Electoral bonds? It is a white-collar corruption of BJP. Can such PM talk about Corruption? Mr Modi accuses us to divert people from his failures and scams. “We have entered politics to work for people. Not for entertainment. Brother Rahul Gandhi has visited states all over India to understand the heart of our India. It is a journey to restore India that is destroyed by BJP”, Mr Stalin said. “The journey that started from Kanniyakumari should end in capturing Delhi and forming a truly federal, secular and inclusive government. I call you all to save INDIA! May INDIA arise!”, Mr Stalin said.
