Hamirpur/Una, Jan 4 (Agency) HP BJP chief, Suresh Kashyap has said that those who were expelled from the party for opposing the official candidates in the last Vidhan Sabha elections will not be taken back. Kashyap said this during a meeting of the Data bank of the party at Una last night. Local MLA, Sat Pal Satti was also present on this occasion. He said that the central leadership has taken a tough decision in this regard. Suresh Kashyap said that the reasons for the defeat in the elections would be reviewed assembly-wise. We will know the reason why the party got defeated. We will discuss it in detail and mark the shortcomings. Then whatever shortcomings would have been there, would be rectified. While talking to reporters, he said that Congress has not got any major victory. We lost by a very small margin. 9 seats have been lost because of the rebels. The BJP trailed by 0.9 per cent in the assembly elections.
He said that we lost 1 dozen seats by a margin of less than 1 thousand. Our vote percentage is almost equal to that of Congress. Kashyap said that the target of the Lok Sabha elections is in front of us. We will move forward strongly in every assembly constituency to win all four Lok Sabha seats of the state. He said that the Congress government which has not yet formed the cabinet has denotified 619 institutions within 20 days. This has never happened before in the history of Himachal and that was anti-people. The BJP state president asked the Congress party leaders to fulfil all the commitments made to the people before the assembly elections otherwise it would be proved that it fooled the people only for votes. On the question of scams in the Hamirpur Selection commission, Suresh Kashyap said that the government should investigate this matter thoroughly and those who were found guilty should be punished severely.
