Panaji, Feb 15 (Agency) The Congress on Tuesday exuded confidence of forming the next government in Goa. “People have decided to defeat the BJP which will get less than 10 seats. I am confident the Congress-GFP alliance will form the next government after March 10,” Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar told the media here.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said the Congress could win as many as 27 of the 40 seats. Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijay Sardesai said there was indication that people have voted to give a comprehensive majority to the Congress. The Congress contested 37 and the GFP three seats in assembly elections.
