New Delhi, Aug 17 (Agency) Congress on Saturday reconstituted the AICC Law, Human Rights and RTI department and appointed senior party leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi as its Chairman. Party general secretary KC Venugopal in a statement said, “Congress president has approved the proposal for the reconstitution of the AICC Law, Human Rights, and RTI Department, with immediate effect. Besides Singhvi as chairman, the team will have a senior panel and an executive panel. Senior panel will have Salman Khurshid, Vivek Tankha, Harin Raval, Prashanto Sen, Devdatt Kamath, KTS Tulsi and Vipul Maheshwari as its members.
Meanwhile, the executive pane will have Muhammad Ali Khan as secretary and Aman Panwar, Omar Hoda, Eesha Bakshi, Arjun Sharma, Nishant Mandal, Amit Bhandari, Tarannum Cheema, Ningombam Bupenda Meitei, Lalnunhlui Ralte and Swati Draik as members. Moreover, Kharge also appointed war room chairpersons for Maharashtra, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy will be war room chairperson of Maharashtra, Naveen Sharma of Haryana and Gokul Butail of Jammu and Kashmir. However, Sasikanth Senthil will continue as national war room chairman, the party statement said.
