BJP’s double attitude, why petrol and diesel out of GST? : Abhishek Rana

Hamirpur(HP), July 20 (FN Agency) Abhishek Rana, the social media in-charge of HP Congress party Wednesday asked the BJP why it was not levying GST on Diesel and petrol when it was levying it on all other items including food grains. In a statement Wednesday, he said daily consumable items including major food grains have been included in GST. In such a situation, pulses, gram, wheat and other essential commodities will become expensive. Lower GST on diamonds and increasing GST on pen ink with which children write their future shows the dictatorial mindset of the central government where tax has also been imposed on children’s education and writing.

“Are the talks of education, writing and a golden future included only in speeches and rhetoric because its existence is not visible on the ground” he asked. Putting a big question on the central government, Abhishek said if the central government was levying so much GST on everything, then why not bring petrol and diesel under the purview of GST? Why is petrol and diesel so expensive that it is beyond the reach of the common man? It has also been kept outside the purview of GST so that its prices continue to rise. He alleged that due to multiple GST, big industrialists and rich people will not be affected but middle class and poor citizens will be killed and they will have to face inflation.

This tax imposed on cottage, domestic and small scale industries will have an adverse effect on them. He said nothing good has so far happened in the name of ‘Acche Din’, but day-to-day the central government was hitting the people with inflation and the GST has done a little bit. He said,” In Himachal Pradesh, unemployment has already increased tremendously; even the poor people running small jobs from above are now in the grip of inflation and this GST. Due to which it has become difficult for them to earn their livelihood”. The state Congress demanded that this GST should be withdrawn immediately and the poor man should be helped thereby.
