Chennai, May 18 (FN Agency) Hitting hard at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spreading lies,Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K.Stalin on Saturday said the BJP’s divisive dream would not become a reality and that the Opposition-led INDIA bloc will win.In a statement here on Saturday morning, Mr Stalin referring to Mr Modi’s recent speeches, said the BJP’s divisive dream would never become a reality. “The lies (uttered by him) will be shattered and the hatred will go…INDIA (alliance) will win”.He was referring to the Opposition-led INDI Alliance which has come together at the Nationallevel to unseat the BJP from power and prevent Mr Modi from becoming Prime Minister for a third term.“Feared over the INDIA bloc’s march towards victory (in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls), Mr Modi has forgotten the dignity of his post and has been daily indulging in campaign of lies and sowing the seeds of hatred, he alleged.“People are watching with shock and sadness the irresponsible speeches of the Prime Minister and the silence of the Election Commission, which is bound to take action on this”, Mr Stalin said. Accusing the Prime Minister of not uttering a single word to remove the 50 per cent ceiling on reservation to lit up the lives of backward classes, MBCs and tribal communities, Mr Stalin said political parties in Tamil Nadu, which was committed for social justice are pressing this demand.
Even this voice has started echoing across the country due to the Congress party and its partners in the INDIA bloc as it will benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh, he added. “Instead of not talking about this and even not giving a guarantee, Mr Modi has been spreading hate campaigns”, he charged.Further sharpening his attack on Mr Modi, Mr Stalin said said since the speeches of communal hatred has not yielded the desired results, the Prime Minister has resorted to the cheap ploy of creating confrontation between the States.“Mr Modi has unleashed a bundle of lies that leaders in Southern Tamil Nadu has made derogatory remarks after the people of Uttar Pradesh. It is nothing but imaginary and a bundle of lies”, he added.The Chief Minister said Mr Modi was frustrated over his hatred campaign and since he has nothingto boast over or highlight the achievements during his 10-year rule, he has started demeaning the people’s welfare measures launched in Opposition-ruled states and proved that he was anti-poor.Noting that people travelling in Chennai Metro Rail had increased from 3.28 crore in 2019 to 9.11 crore in 2023, Mr Stalin hit out at Modi for not releasing funds for the Phase-2 of the project as promised.He also said Mr Modi was feared of women’s development as he comes from the background of RSS which has regressive right win ideology.
