Mumbai, Nov 3 (Representative) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP – Sharad Pawar Group) Maharashtra state president Jayant Patil on Friday said that the central govenment’s claim that the country’s economy was growing was “completely false”. Patil also held responsible centre’s ruling NDA spearhead BJP for “rising unemployment and the deteriorating economy”.
Taking to his social media handle X, Patil said unemployment in India has reached its peak and the unemployed youth were in depression. According to the recently published report of the Center for Monitoring Economy, the unemployment rate in the country has reached a two-year high of 10.05 percent, Patil posted. He further said that on the one hand it is being claimed that the economy of the country is growing but on the other hand unemployment is also increasing. “This picture is contradictory. The claim of the central government and BJP leaders that the country’s economy is growing ….is completely false,” he added.
