BJP will raise people’s voice as strong opposition in MCD: Adesh Gupta

New Delhi, Dec 9 (Agency) Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta on Friday said BJP will serve the people of Delhi by becoming a strong opposition and will expose the corruption of Aam Aadmi Party. Addressing, a press conference here, Gupta said in the last municipal elections, we got 36.08 percent votes, while this time our vote percentage has increased to 39.09 percent. “Arvind Kejriwal and AAP has been exposed due to our anti-corruption campaign, that is why the public has rejected AAP in the constituency of Manish Sisodia” he added. He said the condition of AAP remained the same in the assembly seat of Satendar Jain, who was jailed in the Hawala case. The party president said there are many seats where winning margin is very small.

He said the only change this time as compared to last time is that the Congress has surrendered before the Aam Aadmi Party. Expressing gratitude to the people of Delhi and Election Commission, he said BJP will strongly raise the questions and problems related to the people of Delhi and will try its best to fulfill them. Adesh Gupta said the welfare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP managed to secure a 40 percent vote in MCD polls. “BJP candidates could not become corporators but they will play the role of opposition in their area” he said.
