New Delhi, Oct 3 (Agency) BJP on Sunday announced the names of candidates for upcoming by-election Assembly polls that will be held in Maharashtra, Mizoram and Telangana. In a statement, the party said, “BJP Central Election Committee has decided the following names for the by-election to the Legislative Assembly polls Maharashtra, Mizoram and Telangana.” The party has fielded Subhash Pirajirao from Deglur constituency in Maharashtra and K Laldinthara from Tuirial constituency in Mizoram. The party has declared Eatala Rajender from Huzurabad constituency in Telangana.
The election in Huzurabad constituency necessitated following the resignation of Eatala Rajender after he was removed from state cabinet by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao over allegations of land grabbing. Later, he joined the BJP. The by-election in the entire three constituencies will be held on October 30. The by-poll on Tuirial Assembly was necessitated because of the death of incumbent MLA Andrew H. Thangliana of Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) on August 17. By-election on Deglur constituency in Maharashtra was necessitated due to the death of Congress MLA Raosaheb Antanpurkar in April.
