BJP holds protest against shortage of water

New Delhi, May 24 (Agency) BJP on Monday held a protest march from Tikona Park to Jal Board Office at Old Rajinder Nagar against “shortage of water” in several areas. Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta alleged that several areas like Naraina Village, Inderpuri, JJ Colony, Budh Vihar, Old and New Rajinder Assembly are facing water shortage problems.

Delhi needs 1100 MGD water, approximately 30 per cent of water being supplied by the Jal Board gets wasted due to old and leaked pipelines, while pipelines get changed and money is spent no real work done, claimed Gupta. The BJP leaders said that not a single water treatment plant has come up during the past eight years.
