Banner favouring of Manish Sisodia in school: Delhi Police files FIR

New Delhi, March 5 (Agency) Delhi Police has lodged an FIR against a government-run school’s School Management Committee convenor at Shastri Park in Northeast Delhi for allegedly putting up flex banner in support of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who is under Central Bureau of Investigation custody in alleged Delhi excise policy scam. The FIR has been registered under Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Public Property Act, 2007, on the basis of a complaint lodged by a person, Diwakar Pandey.

As per the FIR, some desks were brought at the gate of the school and a flex banner was put up at entrance gate in support of Manish Sisodia who was arrested by CBI in alleged Delhi excise policy scam. In the complaint, Pandey stated that the school property was misused and students were used in the propaganda. A purported video has gone viral on social media which shows that some workers are manipulating students to write in favour of Manish Sisodia. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari replied to that video and tweeted, “Yes it’s in our notice and I have already lodged a complaint with @NCPCR, hope they take action.”
