Agnipath scheme is hidden agenda of RSS: Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, June 20 (Bureau) Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday said Agnipath scheme is a hidden agenda of the RSS to take control of the Indian Army.He also said Agniveers will serve as RSS karyakartas inside the Army and outside after completion of their four years of duty on tour. “Will RSS leaders recruit them or the army? Now the 10 lakh people who will be recruited, maybe they could push RSS karyakartas into the army. They may set up 2.5 lakh RSS workers in the army and their hidden agenda is that the 75 percent who will be sent out with 11 lakh rupees.

They will spread across the country.””Those inside and outside will belong to the RSS, they are planning for an RSS takeover of the army,” he added.Kumaraswamy claimed that the RSS was making efforts to launch a Nazi Movement in India through implementation of Agnipath. Countering Kumaraswamy’s comment, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said it is a disgusting comment as it is hurling direct insults on the armed forces and India’s institutions. “Will the armed forces allow their institutions to be compromised in such a way?” he asked. These are the same people who questioned the surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot airstrike, Poonawala said.
