New Delhi, Dec 5 (FN Agency) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to sweep Delhi’s Municipal Corporation elections, the exit polls predicted on Monday. According to the India Today-Axis My India, the AAP is likely to get between 149-171 seats out of the 250 wards and form it’s maiden government in MCD after unification of the three Corporations.
BJP, which was in power for 15 years, is expected to get between 69-91 seats, followed by others 5 to 9. The Congress is likely to get between 3 to 7 seats. As per the Times Now-ETG exit polls, AAP to get 146-156 seats, followed by BJP 84-94, Congress 6-10 and others 0-4. The election to 250 wards in MCD was held on Sunday. The counting of votes will take place on December 7.
