New Delhi, July 28 (Bureau) Two Aam Aadmi Party and one Independent Rajya Sabha members were suspended on Thursday for remaining of the current week for misconduct, raising the total of suspended MPs from the Upper House to 23 in Monsoon Session. AAP’s Sushil Kumar Gupta and Sandeep Kumar Pathak and Independent MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan were suspended by the Chair amid ruckus in the House. “The House has taken a serious note of the misconduct of Sushil Kumar Gupta, Sandeep Kumar Pathak and Ajit Kumar Bhuyan who have entered the well of the House, shouted slogans and displayed placards this morning thereby disrupting the proceedings of the House in utter disregard to the Chair,” said Deputy Chairman Harivansh read out the motion for suspension.
The House was adjourned till 2 pm soon after the suspension as the Opposition created massive uproar against the decision.Nineteen Opposition MPs were already suspended on Tuesday for the remaining part of the week for unruly behaviour and creating ruckus in the well of the House despite repeated warnings by the Chair. AAP’s Sanjay Singh was suspended a day later on Wednesday for tearing up some papers and throwing them at the Chair on Tuesday. The suspended MPs from both Houses of Parliament, including four from the Lok Sabha, have continued with their 50-hour-long dharna rally inside Parliament precincts demanding immediate revocation of their suspension. The MPs are protesting their suspension from the Houses saying they only demanded discussion on price rise, GST rate hike etc calling the issues- urgent.
