Yogi welcomes age waiver in Agnipath scheme

Lucknow, June 17 (Agency) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday welcomed the central government’s decision to increase the entry age of recruitment to 23 years under Agnipath scheme and said that it will infuse hope and enthusiasm among innumerable youths.Yogi tweeted, “The decision to increase the maximum entry age from 21 years to 23 years for ‘Agnipath Scheme-2022’ under the guidance of the Prime Minister is commendable. Gratitude towards the Prime Minister for this gift which infuses hope and enthusiasm among innumerable youths.

“It may be noted that Yogi has announced that the UP government will give priority to Agniveers in recruitment in police and related services and has appealed to the youths not to get misled by anyone.On Thursday the Yogi tweeted, “Agnipath Scheme will give a new dimension to your life as well as give a golden base to the future. Don’t get misled by anyone.””Determined to serve Maa Bharati, our Agniveers will be priceless assets for the nation. The UP government will give preference to Agniveers in police and other services,” he tweeted. The CM tweeted, “As per the intention of the Prime Minister, ‘Agnipath Scheme’ will prepare the youth for the service of the nation and society and give them an opportunity for a proud future.”
