Bhubaneswar, Mar 12 (Agency) Women employees of various departments of Odisha government will now get additional 10 days casual leave, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced on Tuesday.According to Chief Minister Office (CMO) sources the state government has announced extra benefits to the women employees. As per the announcement, the women employees will now avail 25 days casual leave in a year.
The announcement was made keeping in view the domestic responsibility and other family issues faced by the women employees of the state government. Odisha is the first state in the country which had taken a revolutionary step in implementing 33 percent job reservation for women in the government departments during the 1990s. The state government had also recently announced 15 days of casual leave for the employees working in non-government-aided educational institutions in the state.
