Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam at Tirumala for 10 days from Dec 23

Tirumala, Dec 16 (Agency) Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD), managing world famous Lord Venkateswara temple, on Saturday announced that ‘Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam’ is scheduled to commence at the SriVari Temple from December 23, coinciding with Vaikuntha Ekadasi and will continue until January 1 for 10 days. All necessary arrangements will be made to allow devotees to obtain the Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam during this period, TTD said in a release here. Due to the limited availability of tickets in Tirumala, devotees are advised to plan their visit during these festive days to secure darshan of the deity. Tickets for the same are available in Tirupati for darshan during these festive days. Like in the past few years, this year too, a protocol for online booking will be in place, and darshan will be provided only to a limited extent.

Acceptance of recommendation letters will not be entertained, according to the release. The TTD has requested VIPs and other devotees not to rush to the temple only on the day of Vaikunta Ekadashi, and plan their visit during any of the 10 days. Arrangements have been made to facilitate darshan without any hassles for devotees. The TTD had earlier announced that it will issue 4.25 lakh time-Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens to common pilgrims during these 10 days to accommodate the influx of devotees and to facilitate a smooth Vaikunta Dwara Darshan. The tokens will be available at around 100 counters located at nine different points in Tirupati from December 23 onwards, the release added.
