Har Shikhar Tiranga ( HST) is a unique adventure pursuit which has never been attempted before. In this arduous pursuit a team of seasoned mountaineers of National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventute Sports (NIMAS) located at Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh has already scaled the highest mountains of Seven North eastern states. The Reo Purgyil part of the south Zanskar range has only 3 recorded successful summit climbs in the last 5 decades. The mountain due to its extreme technical challenges and tough gradient including mix of big boulders and snow is very rarely attempted. In the last 10 years only two expeditions have come to the mountain without any success. Team NIMAS had to carry complete mountain equipment and rations on the man pack because due to late snowfall the mules could not reach base camp. The team placed two high camps at a height of 5417 Meters and 6170 Meters before attempting the summit. The summit was achieved in a stupendous push of 18 hours to move in high altitude through snow ice and rocky terrain.
