SW Monsoon advances into some more parts of Karnataka & AP: Met

Hyderabad, June 4 (Agency) Southwest Monsoon advanced into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, Goa, some more parts of Karnataka and Telangana, and remaining parts of Rayalaseema on Tuesday, Meteorological Centre said.In a daily weather report here, it was said that conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, some more parts of Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and South Odisha, and some more parts of Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 3–4 days.

Under its influence, thunderstorms with rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ( Ranging from 40 to 50 kmph or 30 to 40 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next five days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places over Telangana during the next seven days.Rain occurred at one or two places in Telangana during the last 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad on Monday, the report added.
