Hyderabad, June 11 (Agency) Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of North Arabian Sea, Maharashtra, and Telangana, the Meteorological Centre said. In a daily weather report here, it said that the conditions are favourable for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Telangana and Chhattisgarh during the next 48 hours. Under its influence, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nirmal, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours.
The same situation is likely to prevail in Nizamabad, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts of the state on Wednesday. Thunderstorms with rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next three days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in the state during the next seven days. Rain occurred at a few places in Telangana during the last 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad on Monday, the report added.
