Sustainable Development of Women main goal of government: Shinde

Nanded, Oct 14 (Representative) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said that the state Government’s scheme ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ has become a super hit across the country and the state government is working to empower women financially through this scheme and other schemes as well. Chief Minister asserted that the main goal of the government is to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development of women through these schemes. He told sisters present there that all the schemes of the government will continue ‘permanently’ with this scheme. The Chief Minister was speaking at the Chief Minister’s Women’s Empowerment Mission program organized by the district administration at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Nava Mondha Maidan in Nanded. The program was graced by former Chief Minister and MP Ashok Chavan, Balasaheb Thackeray Haridra Research and Training Center President Hemant Patil, MLA Balaji Kalyankar among several others. Shinde said, one million sisters of Nanded district are getting the benefit of Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Yojana. This scheme was launched on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Now in a month, Bhaubij will also come. This wave for our sisters will not stop. It will continue continuously. Three months after the scheme was launched, the scheme money has been deposited in the accounts of nearly 2 crore 30 lakh sisters. The government has made a provision of Rs 33,000 crores for this scheme. Rs 17,000 crore has been deposited in women’s accounts.

In this, the advance installments of two months of October, November 2024 have also been deposited in the account. At present, Rs 1500 is deposited in each women’s accounts. The Chief Minister said that henceforth there is a plan to increase the amount of the scheme in a phased manner. The money received through this scheme will be useful to make every woman more financially capable. Women will get the support of this amount for building small and big business. Some women are moving forward in this direction, he is pleased. The Chief Minister inspired the women by expressing his optimism that he wanted to see these women become millionaires. The Chief Minister said that along with the goal of financially capable women, safe women are also a priority of the government. Women are also being given the benefit of a 50 percent discount on ST travel tickets with Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Along with these schemes, the Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme, Chief Minister’s Annapurna Scheme, Chief Minister’s Free Higher Education Scheme, Chief Minister’s Baliraja Free Power Scheme, Chief Minister’s Tirtha Darshan Scheme, Chief Minister’s Vyoshree Scheme . will continue, added the Chief Minister.
