Pune, Jan 13 (Representative) Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and BJP MLA Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said Ram Mandir is now a reality, but we must strive and work hard to bring ‘Ram Rajya.’ “I am a former chief minister, but people did not reject me. Even if I am not the CM of Madhya Pradesh, I will continue to contribute to politics with a larger goal. Women empowerment, free quality education for students and environment conservation will by areas of work. Students should also come into politics for larger benefit of our society,” Chauhan said while speaking as the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony of the 13th edition of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad organised at MIT World Peace University. Special Guest of Honor Pujya Dr. Gnanvatsal Swami, Life Coach & Eminent Speaker of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, and Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, President, Loksatta Movement were present on the occasion. UNESCO Chair Holder Revered Prof Dr. Vishwanath D Karad, Founder President MIT WPU presided over the function. Scientist and educationalist Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, MIT WPU Executive President, and MIT SOG Founder Rahul V. Karad and other dignitaries were present for the session.
Chauhan said, “I entered politics is to work for people, society, and country. Nowadays, some people look at politics as a career and do political activities on a superficial level. Some people think politics is the worst thing one can do, but this mindset is incorrect. I could take revolutionary decisions which positively impacted lakhs of citizens only because I came into politics and worked for people. Hence, I would appeal to students to come forward, enter politics and lead the society.” Dr. Narayan said, “Swami Vivekanand brought spiritualism to the masses for the first time. He built this nation, when we were fragmented on caste, religion in modern era. Politics is about transforming future for everybody. True politics is noble endeavour about reconciliating conflicting interests in a diverse society, limited resourced with unlimited wants, and todays needs with tomorrows future. Today most political parties have become family fiefdoms, private estates.
If we want to bring young fresh talent to politics, conducive conditions must be created through ethical means.” Dr. Gnanvatsal Swami said, “India is destined to be a Vishwaguru, superpower, developed nation. Students carry responsibility and we need to work together.” Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad said, “Bharat will bring harmony and peace to mankind. Bhartiya Culture, Tradition and Philosophy teaches us that truth is one and only one. Time has come to teach these values to the world. Students should learn to give and they must be disciplined and dedicated and set an example before the world.” Rahul V. Karad said, “Government should take lead and support in establishing school of governance to train and build capacities of youth and the future leaders of India. It is important to make our democracy mature. We are striving to bring a strong character and educated political leadership through initiatives like Bhartiya Chatra Sansad and MITSOG.
