Dharamshala April 17 (FN Agency) Health, Social Justice and Empowerment, Labor and Employment Minister Col. Dr. Dhaniram Shandil said on Sunday that the state government is committed to provide better health facilities in the state. He said this while addressing a press conference in Nurpur on Sunday.He said that the government is considering setting up a committee to protect the interests of outsourced workers in hospitals during the Covid period. The Health Minister said that in view of the shortage of doctors and health workers in the hospitals of this hill state, the government will soon fill up these posts. He said that to overcome the shortage of radiologists, doctors would be given a 6-month bridge course so that they could operate the equipment of the radiology department.
Talking about the quality of medicines being manufactured by the pharma companies, the Health Minister said that utmost care would be taken to ensure the quality of the medicines. He said that if any irregularity in quality was found, strict action would be taken against the culprits. He said that the State Government was committed to provide free treatment to the people of the State. For this, minister said that the people of the state will continue to get the facility of Him Care. The Health Minister said that the state government will give pension to all eligible women in a phased manner. Under this, in the first phase, 2.31 lakh women will be given a pension of Rs 1500 per month. After this, the Health Minister visited the Civil Hospital of Nurpur and took stock of the arrangements.
During this, he interacted with the officials, doctors and health workers of the hospital and inquired about the various facilities being provided in the hospital. He wished for the well-being of the patients admitted in the hospital and their health. Seeing the better management of the hospital, the Health Minister also praised the doctors. He said that all necessary things and staff would be made available in this hospital so that the patients do not face any inconvenience. SDM Gursimar Singh, SP Ashok Ratan, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma, CDPO Ramesh Kumar, District Congress Secretary Yogesh Mahajan, Block Congress President Sushil Mintu, NGO head Rajesh Sahotra and press representatives were present on the occasion.
