Chennai, Sep 1 (FN Agency) The Tamil Nadu government on Sunday signed a a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ohmium for setting up a new electrolyzers and green hydrogen factory in Chengalpattu district, involving an investment of Rs 400 crores, which will provide employment for 500 people. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at San Francisco marking yet another successful day in San Francisco as the state government has inked pact with eight top firms in US in the last three days.
An official release here said the MoU involves establishing a new factory in Chengalpattu district for the production of electrolyzers and green hydrogen, creating 500 job opportunities. In a social media post, Mr Stalin said “Another successful day in San Francisco! We’ve secured a Rs 400 crore investment from Ohmium in Chengalpattu district, creating 500 jobs”. . “This marks a significant step in nurturing the ecosystem for green energy production and fuelling a sustainable future!”, he added. Mr Stalin is on an official visit to US to attract investments to the state to achieve the goal of making TN a USD one trillion economy by 2030.
