Singapore investors keen to invest in TN : Stalin

Chennai, May 24 (Agency) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, who is onan official tour to Singapore to woo investors, today said he had fruitful discussions with heads of major financial and industrial institutions whohave expressed keen interest in investing in the State. He said during his meeting both sides explored the possibilities ofexpanding the existing investments in renewable energy, industrialparks and logistics to new areas like food processing and fishing.
Mr Stalin tweeted “Had discussion and productive engagement with theheads of major financial and industrial institutions from Singapore”. The talks with Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, Executive Director and CEO ofTemasek, Kim Yin Wong of Sembcorp and Sanjeev Dasgupta of CapitaLandreaffirmed the long-standing relations between Tamil Nadu and Singapore, he said. They expressed their keen interest in investing in our Tamil Nadu andpartner us in our journey towards becoming a trillion dollar economy, headded.
“We explored the possibilities of expanding the existing investments inrenewable energy, industrial parks and logistics to new areas like foodprocessing and fishing”, Mr Stalin said. “Looking forward to build and continue further upon the historical andmutually beneficial partnership between Tamil Nadu and Singapore”, he said. From Singapore, Mr Stalin will visit Japan to attract investments andinvite investors to participate for the Global Investors Meet to be heldin Chennai in January 2024.
