New Delhi, Nov 3 (Agency) Amid severe air pollution grappling the national capital, the Delhi government on Thursday announced the closure of all government and private primary schools for the next two days.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed about it and said that due to increasing air pollution levels, all government and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next two days (Friday and Saturday). Kejriwal posted on X, “In light of the rising pollution levels, all govt and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days.
“It is known that the air quality in Delhi continues to remain in the poor category on Thursday. It is believed that students are more vulnerable to air pollution. Meanwhile, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools will also remain closed for two days (November 3 and 4) and classes will be held online mode for students, MCD said in a statement. As per the statement, in pursuance to the order it is decided that classes will be held through online mode in all MCD and MCD aided schools on November 3 and 4. However, school will remain open for teachers and staff.
