School heads to withdraw from vaccination, ration distribution work as board exam approaches

New Delhi, Nov 15 (FN Agency) In view of upcoming board and mid-term examinations of classes 9-12, Delhi government has directed heads of all government, govt-aided and un-aided recognised schools to discontinue all public services including ration distribution and COVID-19 vaccination. The directions were issued by Directorate of Education (DoE) on Monday. “For smooth conduct of all examinations and in order to avoid any kind of disturbances which may affect the sanctity of examination, the Heads of all Govt, Govt Aided & Un-Aided Recognized Schools are hereby directed to discontinue all public activities like Distribution of Ration, Vaccination Centers or other public related activities during the examination hours,” the order said.

It also asked Deputy Directorate of Education (DDE) in all districts to ensure that no other activities, except of conduct of aforementioned examinations, are carried out in their respective zones. The DoE further asked the school heads to ensure masks, hand sanitizers and hygiene inside the school premises. “The Heads of Schools shall also ensure that Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) issued by Government for containment of COVID pandemic should be followed by the students and schools staffs with due diligence,” it added. Term-1 CBSE board examinations are going to be held on November 16 & 17 for class X while it is scheduled for class XII on November 30 & December 1 for class XII. The mid-term examinations of classes IX & XI are also scheduled from December 1, the education department said. These examinations will be conducted in offline mode, it added.
