Responsibilities of departments fixed for successful organization of G20 meeting: DC

Dharamshala, Mar 25 (Representative) The Kangra district administration has fixed the responsibilities of various departments regarding the successful organization of the proposed G20 meeting on April 19 and 20 at Dharamshala in this district. For the successful conduct of the G20 meeting, a meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Nipun Jindal, Deputy Commissioner, at DC Office Dharamshala on Friday regarding the responsibilities of various departments and the tasks expected of them. During this, the role of various departments and the arrangements to be made by them were discussed and instructions were given in the proposed G20 meeting in Kangra.In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner held a series of discussions with all the departments regarding their responsibilities in the G20 summit. He said that the meeting on April 19-20 in Dharamshala will discuss the latest research and innovations under the ‘Research and Innovation Initiative Gathering’. Top scientists, policy makers and experts from many countries of the world will come to Dharamshala to participate in it. He said that during this time we have to work with full devotion to provide all possible cooperation and arrangements for the successful conduct of the G20 meeting. Dr. Nipun Jindal said that it is a matter of pride that Dharamshala has been chosen for the G-20 meeting. This opportunity will give us an opportunity to introduce our guests to the cultural uniqueness, diversity and beauty of Kangra and Himachal.

He said that collective efforts are needed for the guests coming to the meeting to take away a good image of the state from here.In the meeting, the responsibilities of the departments on accommodation, traffic, health and security arrangements for the participants during the G20 meeting were fixed. Along with this, the plan prepared for their reception and tour was also discussed.Instructions were also given to the departments regarding branding of the programme, media coverage, decoration, exhibition and cultural program for the guests, gala dinner and souvenirs to be given. The Deputy Commissioner asked the officials of the National Highway and Public Works Department to complete the repair and beautification work of the roads in time. He also asked the Municipal Corporation to speed up the works of drains and complete them on time and gave instructions to pay special attention to cleanliness. Dr. Nipun Jindal fixed the role of concerned departments on all aspects including electricity, water, internet connectivity and gave necessary instructions.Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Jassal, Additional District Magistrate Rohit Rathore, Additional Superintendent of Police Badri Singh, Assistant Commissioner Subhash Gautam, SDM Shilpi Bekta, CMO Dr. Sushil Sharma and officers of other departments were present in the meeting.
