Mumbai, Sep 4 (FN Agency) President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday presented Pune MLA Siddharth Shirole with the ‘Outstanding Speech’ Award for the year 2021-22. The award ceremony was held in the central hall of Maharashtra Assembly here. Shirole was selected for the Outstanding Speech Award for the year 2021-22 on behalf of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Board. Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, Assembly Speaker Advocate Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Speaker Narhari Zirwal, Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr Neelam Gorhe, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil and Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve were present on the occasion.
While raising the issues of his constituency Chhatrapati Shivaji Nagar in the assembly, Shirole also touched upon some important issues of the state.His approach to putting solutions forward while sharing concerns was one of the most important reasons behind getting him this prestigious award. He consistently raised the issues about traffic chaos at the SPPU Square, inclusion of Kirkee Cantonment in the Pune Municipal Corporation Limits, Maratha reservation and rehabilitation of flood-affected families from his constituency.
