New Delhi, Mar 30 (Agency) Delhi government on Thursday held an emergency meeting to review the Covid-19 situation in the national capital amid rising number of cases. Delhi Health Minister, Saurabh Bharadwaj, said, “There is no panic situation, but we are monitoring the conditions within Delhi and other states too.” Addressing the media persons here, Bharadwaj said, “We held an emergency meeting with top officials of the health department. We have put all the hospitals on alert to deal with Covid-19 but there is no need to panic.” “A mock drill was conducted recently on our preparedness to tackle Covid situation, we will display the result of this through a presentation to the Chief Minister.
CM will review the preparedness of the health department tomorrow,” said Bharadwaj. “We are on alert. If we find more symptoms in that situation we will enhance the preparedness,” he added. The minister said that the government is closely monitoring the situation and behavior of the virus. The government will issue the guidelines on it as per the coming situation.“The government is taking concrete steps in view of the increasing cases of the virus, along with increasing the number of corona tests,” he added.
