Bhopal, Nov 15 (Bureau) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the country requires ultramodern infrastructure and the Indian Railways is advancing in that direction. “The Railways’ future is visible to one and all at the Rani Kamlapati Station,” he said while dedicating to the nation the station redeveloped in Public-Private Partnership mode. “Until about six years back, the mention of railway stations brought to mind images of dirty platforms and unsafe journeys. People had become so dejected that they abandoned the very hope of positive change. However, our government emphasised on ultramodern facilities and infrastructural development and the Railways team performed.
This station resembles an airport and has everything ranging from entertainment to security. Other railway stations will follow suit. This day is important also because the station ? Cont. to Page-2
has been renamed after the famed queen Kamlapati to mark Tribal Pride Day. Railway projects in this region will lessen the pressure on transport,” he added. Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw were among those present on the occasion.
