Patil who is also National President of India Against Corruption demanded that ‘Jumbo Covid Center’ was set up in every district and city during the Corona period, the investigative agencies of the state should investigate whether there was corruption during the construction of these center. Patil said that he will soon correspond with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and request them to order an investigation into these hospitals of illegal money transactions. He further said those who play with the lives of citizens during crisis should be punished. The challenge is now on the investigation agencies to bring out which leaders are involved in corruption, who is behind the wave of corruption. Patil also said that those who involved 8n corruption should not be punished without any further delay. It is also necessary to know that how the Mumbai Municipal Commissioner awarded the contract worth 100 crores to whom – and at whose request. Patil warned that if those involved in corruption are not punished, he will start protest in state. It is alleged that there was a scam in the purchase of medical equipment in the Corona center during the Corona period.
During the Corona period, various companies were awarded the contract to start the Jumbo Covid Center in Mumbai, in which Lifeline Hospital Management Services got the contract to provide medical services and equipment without any experience. Moreover, it is alleged that this company has submitted fake documents to BMC to get the contract. It has been claimed that a scam of crores was done by awarding the contract of Covid center to benami companies, he added.
